Gym Girl Skirt
It all started on a training run in 2004…
In early 2005 at a marathon expo in Austin, TX, this skirt launched the Skirt Revolution as the first skirt targeted toward runners with built-in shorts that didn’t ride up. The first prototype was made from silky, quick-dry swimsuit fabric from a closeout mill, with lightweight nylon/spandex mesh shorties and a drawcord that used a lace lock to stay in place. Our founder, Nicole DeBoom, tested the skirt during long Ironman training runs on and around the trails and roads of Boulder, Colorado, USA. While the prototype was rough, she knew she was onto something. Even at the 3 hour mark, her thighs were chafe-free and she forgot she was testing a product. That became the new standard for wear-testing. If she didn’t think about the product, the sample was a winner!
For 20 years, the Gym Girl has remained our #1 seller because it checks all the boxes: not too short, not too long, shorts that land just over the thigh-hump, a mid-rise waistband that hits near the belly button on most torsos, two pockets and a drawcord so it won’t fall down even if you load up the pockets!

A note about Skirt Sports and eNDē
20 years after launching Skirt Sports, Nicole DeBoom found herself in the driver's seat again. She decided to relaunch only the best-selling products that women around the world have loved for decades. With her new beginning came a new name - the eNDē project - or just eNDē for short. A fun play on the initials of the woman who still prizes play above all else!
While the name has changed, the products are virtually the same. Or as we believe, even better!
